Job Descriptions
Housekeeping
Housekeeping Room Attendants: Experience appreciated. Training available for hard working individuals with an appreciation for cleanliness and attention to detail. Responsible for daily cleaning functions of rooms and public buildings. Works at the direction of the Housekeeping Manager.
Laundry Attendants: Works at the direction of the Housekeeping Manager in performing the cleaning and processing of all linens and bedding necessary to facilitate the functions of the resort.
Housepersons: Assists room attendants, stocks supplies, vacuums guest hallways, clean public areas including restrooms and other areas as directed by Housekeeping Manager and General Manager.
Maintenance
Maintenance Staff: Work at the direction of the Maintenance Manager and General Manager in performing general maintenance as needed. Experience should include some of the following skills: electrical, light carpentry, plumbing refrigeration, and light vehicle and small engine maintenance. Ensure guest rooms and public areas are well maintained, including general repairs and preventive maintenance.
Transportation
Van Driver: Transport guests to airport and train station. All shifts needed.
Front Office
Front Desk Agent: Maintain daily functions of hotel front desk. Responsible for guest registration and check-out and financial transaction accuracy. Facilitates hotel communications. Must have pleasing personality and desire toward ultimate guest satisfaction at all times. Works at the direction of the General Manager and Front Desk Supervisor.
Night Auditor: Compiles all revenue information of hotel operations for daily sales report. Balance and reconcile guest charges, bank deposits, credit card charges and direct bill accounts. Must have prior hotel auditing experience or an understanding of simple accounting procedures and cash handling. Will perform additional assigned accounting tasks at the direction of the General Manager during late night hours. Works at the direction of the General Manager and Front Desk Supervisor.
Food and Beverage Jobs
Breakfast Cook: Eligible applicants must have experience in this position and an understanding of breakfast food preparation and buffet layout.
Host/Hostess/Cashier: Greets, seats and controls flow of dining room operations during breakfast. Responsible for breakfast cashiering functions. Executech point of sale experience preferred although not required.
Breakfast Attendants: Attend to the needs of customers in the breakfast dining room and maintain stocking of items on the breakfast buffet. Must have pleasing personality and desire for ultimate guest satisfaction.
Uniforms/Grooming: Uniforms are required for all positions. Employees will be required to provide portions of those uniforms. All employees must maintain a professional well-groomed appearance. This policy is adhered to at all times.
Activities: The Bridgewater Hotel is located just two hours from Denali National Park, where activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, river rafting, and horseback riding are available. The more adventurous person will enjoy road trips to the Arctic Circle or boating trips on the many river systems in the region.
